It's one of the questions we're asked most often at Norfolk Fireworks: How much do I need to spend to get a decent firework display?
There is no fixed amount. A £100 family display and a £1,000 display will obviously be very different, but spending more doesn't automatically create a better display. Choosing the right combination for your budget is far more important.
Around £100 - Small family display
Concentrate on quality rather than quantity. A carefully chosen combination of fountains, smaller barrages and perhaps some rockets can create an enjoyable display without filling the basket with dozens of inexpensive items.
Around £250 - Plenty of choice
At this level you have much more flexibility. You can introduce larger barrages, better rocket packs and potentially a compound while still having enough budget to vary the display.
Around £500 - A serious home display
£500 can produce an extremely impressive private display when spent carefully. Combine quality barrages, premium rockets and larger compounds, and structure the display so it gradually builds towards a finale.
£1,000+ - Something special
At this level you can create a substantial display with a wide variety of premium fireworks and multiple sections. Larger budgets also make planning and sufficient space increasingly important.
Bigger isn't always better
Shot count is only part of the story. Tube size, duration, firing pattern, NEC, effects and overall build quality all influence performance.
Tell us your budget, available space, preferred noise level and approximate duration and we'll help you choose a combination that makes good use of your budget.
